Hostkeep is an independent project run by Fay ("we", "us"). Contact for anything in this policy: fay@hostkeep.tech.
The Hostkeep software
- Runs on your machine. Hostkeep has no cloud service. It does not send files, logs, configuration, usage statistics or crash reports to us. It contains no telemetry.
- Activity log stays local. Hostkeep records each tool call (tool name, project, outcome, timing) in a log on your machine. It never records file contents or argument values. You control and can delete these files.
- Your AI provider. When your assistant reads something through Hostkeep, that content goes to the assistant's provider (for example Anthropic or OpenAI) under their terms and privacy policy, not to us.
- Outbound requests. Hostkeep only contacts the internet if you enable its optional fetch tools, and then only the addresses your assistant requests, within the limits described on the security page.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising. We don't build profiles of visitors.
- Hosting: the site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Fonts: loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads.
- Icons: loaded from Icons8 (img.icons8.com), which receives the same technical request data.
- We don't receive or store those request logs ourselves.
When you email us
If you write to fay@hostkeep.tech, we receive your email address, name (if included) and whatever you write. Mail for hostkeep.tech is hosted by Titan (titan.email), which stores it on our behalf. We use your message only to reply and, if you asked for early access, to contact you about it. We don't sell or share it, and we don't add you to a mailing list without asking.
How long we keep it
We keep email conversations while they are useful for the conversation or early-access program, and delete them on request. We hold no other personal data about website visitors.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to fay@hostkeep.tech. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law (for example the GDPR); we will honour them.
Children
Hostkeep is a tool for technical professionals and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes for early-access users will also be sent by email.
