What we offer
Hostkeep is software you run on your own Windows machines and VMs. During early access we may share builds, documentation and support with selected users. Early-access software is a work in progress: features may change, and known limitations are listed on the scope and security pages.
Your responsibilities
- Only install Hostkeep on machines you own or are authorised to administer, and only expose folders you are allowed to share with your AI provider.
- Keep your access token secret, rotate it if exposed, and protect any tunnel you use for remote access.
- Review your configuration: which folders are readable, which are writable, and which commands may run. Running tests on a writable project executes that project's code.
- Keep backups. An assistant can make mistakes inside the permissions you grant.
- Follow the terms of the AI assistant and provider you connect.
Acceptable use
Don't use Hostkeep to access systems without permission, to bypass security controls, to harm others, or for anything unlawful. Don't attempt to break the security of other people's installations. Good-faith security research on your own installation is welcome; please report findings via the contact page.
Ownership and feedback
Hostkeep, its name, logo and this website are owned by Fay. Early access gives you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the builds we provide for your own operations; it does not transfer ownership. If you send feedback, we may use it to improve Hostkeep without obligation to you. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners.
No warranty
Early-access software and this website are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We work hard on reliability and security and publish our evidence and known gaps, but we can't promise the software is free of defects or suitable for every purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits arising from use of early-access software or this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. You can stop using Hostkeep at any time by uninstalling it. We may end early access with reasonable notice by email.
